One day she woke up and said to her husband: “Let’s sell the apartment.” This was years ago and concerned their holiday apartment in Brigels. Within just a few weeks, they made it happen. Elisabeth Guggenbühl is standing in the living room of her new apartment in Horw and is looking directly onto the “Krienser Schlössli”, the Schauensee castle. The fact that she is now enjoying this unobstructed view and not the one over the Pilatus anymore is also down to a spontaneous decision. At the end of last year, she and her husband Peter were on their way home from an exhibition in the Kornschütte, when they noticed the stall of a real estate company. Acting on an impulse, they asked the staff at Walde & Partner, whether they were keen to sell their 6.5-room-house. Four months later, it was sold. “Deciding and acting” seems to be a key principle in the life of the Guggenbühls. In the 1970s, the family lived in Mexico for years. At first in a flat. Then, following two major earthquakes, they acted quickly and bought an old senator’s house. Their spontaneous decision to sell their single-family house in Horw after 30 years, was linked to the desire to be more independent again. “In addition, Walde & Partner made it easy for us to come to this decision. It was their friendly appearance that convinced us straight away,” explains the grandmother of six. They praised the exceedingly attentive customer care and the efficient and professional manner of selling. “It was just right,” says Mrs Guggenbühl, “and we are relieved that our once again spontaneous decision was put into action on such short notice.”
